“Malcolm is the very epitome of the best vampires I’ve read…Fixation rolls along at a good pace and kept me reading until I’d finished it. The storyline unwinds in a pleasing way and the arc…is complete with no hanging threads… Loved this story…a great read…” -- Jordan

“…I won’t reveal any spoilers, but there is a reason why Emily and Malcolm are compelled to see one another. I enjoyed the back story here. What I also liked about Fixation was that it proved an easy read. No frills, no purple prose, just an honest-to-goodness story. It flows effortlessly, and if I hadn’t known two people had written it, I wouldn’t have guessed. A lovely Sunday read... Fanny Hill ends this review with a happy feeling after reading a really nice book about love…”

Rating: You Want to Read - A Good book.

“I really liked this different take on the vampire lore... I liked how the authors created an intimate setting without the two characters, Emily and Malcolm, being in the same room... The author’s did a great job of setting the scenes and providing explanations for background story lines... I would love to see a fuller version of this book.” – Shawn Weisser

“…This story presents a new twist on the vampire story by incorporating some Hindu beliefs. This gives it a fresh, unique flavor. While I am not very knowledgeable on Hindu beliefs, I found that this book gave me enough knowledge that I was able to enjoy this festinating tale.

Though this is not an extremely long book, there is a lot of information in it. Malcolm and Emily are given good solid backgrounds and personalities. The vampire society is described so you can pretty much understand it. Emily’s family life and professional life is present. There are enough secondary characters to make this story feel alive.

Overall, I found this to be an interesting story that didn’t take a long time to read. I could see myself reading it during a sunny afternoon, lazing around or curled up on a snowy day. It’s fun, fast paced and different…” -- Terri

“…(“Fixation”) was a fascinating read. I enjoyed the added paranormal elements to this story giving it a twist from your typical vampire tale. At times, the pace was a little slow but over all it was a quick read. Both Malcolm and Emily are well-written and the secondary characters add greatly to the story without hindering the plot. The storyline is fun and yet at times brutal, carnal yet sweet, and always balanced. The dialogue is smooth and realistic and the banter between the heroine and hero is thoroughly enjoyable. I will recommend this captivating otherworldly tale to anyone who appreciates paranormal romances.” --Theresa Joseph

“…This is an interesting and new twist on romance. The Fixation that Malcolm has for Emily will thrill the reader while still maintaining a degree of sweetness. The character interaction is unique, since a majority of the story is done through feelings not actual actions. Emily is a wonderfully written character; she is caring and strong. Malcolm is a completely different entity. The authors have created a vampire world and need that is different from any other I have read. The vigilante slant is creative, the vampires are given a lot in life that almost vindicates their basic instinct of being a hunter. I enjoyed that I never seemed to know what might happen next and found myself cheering them on against the odds. If you are looking for something a little bit different, grab this book. You will enjoy it.” -- Teagan

“..Fixation is a great read. The talents of Mia Cherish and Jacqueline Quaid compose a page-turner of a tale that kept me devoured with each word. I love the realism of Emily and Malcolm and how their story entwines. I also like the fact that Emily is concerned with her brother, Randy, and wants to make sure he is cared for. The story flows at a good pace with secondary characters that blend in well with the main characters. This charming read is like a breath of fresh air, completely enthralling.” -- Cherokee

4 Out of 5 Stars by Nicky on the Devine Destines Website

“Fixation commences with Emily and Malcolm crossing paths on Malcolm's rising as a vampire. There is a solid building of the main character's as well as come of secondary players as impressions are made and histories are sought. The reader is teased on the getting together of Emily and Malcolm. The seduction by Malcolm of Emily after their initial meeting is intense and tasteful, leaving the reader feeling the intensity of their need and desires. The authors do a good job in relaying the emotions that tie in with the sex. The underlying subplot of the specialness of the 'fixation' opens for a world of further explorations. Fixation is an easy to read, slow burning, seductive read. By the end of the story, this reader was left wanting more of where to from here.”
